Rachael’s story

Rachael Eve Calderon is a dedicated and compassionate personal injury attorney at The Calderon Law Firm, where she focuses on representing those who have been catastrophically injured or who have lost a loved one—and guiding them through the litigation process with clarity and care. She joined the firm in May 2023, bringing with her a strong background in high-stakes injury litigation and a deep commitment to personalized advocacy.

A proud Houston native, Rachael was immersed in the world of personal injury law from a young age. Her father, a respected personal injury trial lawyer, modeled the dedication, fortitude, and unwavering advocacy that would later define her own career. Watching him fight for clients instilled in Rachael an early understanding that this work is not just about cases—it’s about people, and the perseverance required to help them rebuild their lives.

Rachael has built her career around one guiding principle: treat every client as if they’re the only one. Her work reflects the values at the heart of The Calderon Law Firm—honest communication, strategic excellence, and tireless dedication to achieving the best outcome for every client.

Prior to joining The Calderon Law Firm, Rachael served as an associate at two personal injury law firms, where she played a pivotal role in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, often going to trial and being part of litigation teams that secured multi-million-dollar settlements on behalf of their clients. Her experience ranges from working with liability experts and presenting at trial to preparing clients for depositions and negotiating settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.

Her first year out of law school, she managed over 100 personal injury cases as lead counsel and honed her skills in motion practice, mediation, and courtroom advocacy.

Rachael earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she received the CALI Award for Excellence by finishing first in her class in Legal Research and Writing. She also studied international negotiation and comparative human rights law at Charles University in the Czech Republic, bringing a global perspective to her client-centered practice. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and is also a certified mediator.
